Job Summary:
The job holder is responsible for developing, shaping, and delivering high-quality Arabic thematic content that reflects the overarching Expo 2030 narrative and supports the strategic objectives of the Themes Department. This role transforms complex research, thematic frameworks, and cultural insights into clear, compelling, and accessible Arabic storytelling across exhibitions, scripts, narratives, and public-facing materials.
Responsibilities:
Thematic Content Development

Develop thematic narratives, exhibition text, and Arabic storylines based on approved research and frameworks.

Convert complex thematic concepts into accessible Arabic content for diverse audiences.

Draft scripts, panels, captions, and interpretive materials for exhibitions and experiences.

Ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural nuance, and alignment with the Expo thematic intent.

Maintain consistency of voice, tone, and messaging across all Arabic outputs.
Editorial Standards & Quality Assurance

Establish and apply editorial guidelines for Arabic writing within the Themes Department.

Conduct detailed reviews, edits, and quality checks before materials are approved for production.

Flag thematic inconsistencies, cultural sensitivities, or linguistic risks.

Ensure compliance with brand, thematic, and cultural communication standards.

Manage version control and documentation of all edited content.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Alignment

Work closely with designers, researchers, curators, and content creators to shape Arabic narratives.

Support cross-functional teams by providing cultural insights and linguistic expertise.

Participate in review workshops, script meetings, and content alignment sessions.

Provide guidance to external vendors or agencies producing Arabic content.

Resolve content-related issues and achieve alignment across departments.
Research, Cultural Context & Narrative Translation

Analyze research papers, thematic frameworks, and conceptual briefs to extract narrative direction.

Adapt content from English/other languages into Arabic while preserving thematic intent.

Conduct fact-checking and cultural validation of thematic elements.

Identify local and regional cultural references that strengthen narrative relevance.

Ensure thematic accuracy while adapting language for different audience levels.
Content Planning, Workflow & Delivery

Develop content schedules and workplans aligned with exhibition and production timelines.

Coordinate feedback cycles with internal leadership and stakeholders.

Track content readiness, risks, and dependencies across thematic workstreams.

Support briefing processes for new thematic sub-projects and content needs.

Prepare finalized Arabic content packages for production, digital integration, or media use.
Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language & Literature, Journalism, Communication, Cultural Studies, or a related field.

Master’s degree is preferred.
Professional Certifications Preferred
-
Relevant certifications in Creative Writing, Editorial Practices, Translation, Arabic Linguistics, Cultural Content Development, or Media & Communication.
Experience
-
A minimum of 7 years of experience in the
top-tier Arabic media, cultural institutions, or major-event content teams
(e.g., SRMG, Ithra, Diriyah Biennale Foundation).
Nature of Experience

Experience in cultural content development, editorial writing, thematic communication, and narrative development.

Exposure to major events, cultural programming, exhibitions, publishing, or storytelling-driven environments.

Experience collaborating with creative, design, research, and production teams to develop integrated content.
