AR/AP Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented AR/AP Specialist to join our Accounting team! In this role, you will be the driving force behind managing accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring accurate financial transactions, and maintaining seamless cash flow operations. Duties

  • Process and monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions using various accounting software.
  • Perform account reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy across all financial records.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and month-end closing activities in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Manage accounts receivable collections, follow up on overdue invoices, and facilitate timely payments.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies or anomalies; perform account reconciliation regularly.
  • Assist with payroll management tasks including benefits administration and payroll processing using Kronos or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Support non-profit or governmental accounting functions when applicable, maintaining adherence to specific regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate data entry records with 10 key typing skills and ensure all records are up-to-date for audits or internal reviews.

Experience

  • Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments with a focus on accounts receivable/payable functions.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of payroll management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to perform data entry at high speed (10 key typing).

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
