Architectural Designer – Authority Approvals & Technical Drawings Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Architectural Designer with a minimum of 1 year of GCC experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preparing detailed architectural, interior, landscape, and MEP coordination drawings, together with managing authority submissions and approvals across Dubai.

The successful candidate should possess a strong understanding of local regulations and approval procedures, particularly for Dubai Municipality (DM), Dubai Development Authority (DDA), Trakhees, Emaar, Nakheel, and DAMAC, and be capable of producing high-quality 2D technical drawings and 3D design models.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural design, authority submission, and shop drawings in accordance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
• Prepare, coordinate, and submit drawings for approvals from:
• Dubai Municipality (DM)
• Dubai Development Authority (DDA)
• Trakhees
• Nakheel
• Emaar
• DAMAC
• Other relevant authorities and master developers
• Prepare and coordinate NOC (No Objection Certificate) documentation and drawings, including:
• Architectural drawings
• MEP drawings
• Basic structural drawings
• Develop municipality submission packages ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and authority standards.
• Produce detailed 2D drawings for:
• Interior fit-out projects
• Landscape works
• Villa and apartment renovations
• Create accurate 3D models and visualizations to support design development and client presentations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and site teams throughout the design and approval process.
• Review authority comments, revise drawings, and manage resubmissions until final approval is obtained.
• Ensure all drawings comply with local building regulations, authority requirements, and project specifications.
• Maintain organized records of submissions, revisions, approvals, and project documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of GCC experience in architectural design and authority submissions.
• Sound knowledge of Dubai authority regulations and approval procedures.
• Experience with villa renovations, apartment fit-outs, and interior projects is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Experience with SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, or similar 3D software.
• Ability to prepare detailed 2D architectural, interior, and landscape drawings.
• Understanding of MEP coordination and basic structural drawing requirements.
• Familiarity with authority submission portals and approval workflows.
• Basic rendering and presentation skills are an advantage.
