Job Title: Enterprise Architect / Enterprise DR Strategy and Resilience Architect
This role acts as the primary customer-facing architect for the engagement. The person will lead strategy and design discussions across AWS, Azure / M365, VMware, on-premises platforms, VPN and network dependencies, identity services, and selected SaaS applications. The role is responsible for turning incomplete information into a structured DR strategy, recovery architecture, and prioritized roadmap.
Lead discovery workshops with customer infrastructure, cloud, security, application, network, and business stakeholders.
Define the in-scope services, recovery tiers, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, and exclusions for the DR engagement.
Assess current-state resiliency capabilities across AWS, Azure / M365, VMware, on-premises systems, and other SaaS services.
Drive discussions to define or rationalize RTO, RPO, application criticality, and recovery sequencing.
Recommend target-state DR patterns such as backup and restore, pilot light, warm standby, active-passive, active-active, or rebuild-on-demand.
Design foundational recovery considerations covering identity, AD / Entra ID, DNS, VPN, remote access, certificates, key management, and other shared services.
Identify gaps in backup coverage, restore confidence, immutability, cyber recovery readiness, and dependency orchestration.
Guide the offshore consultant on discovery follow-ups, documentation, and deliverable development.
Produce executive-ready outputs such as architecture documents, standards, gap analysis, test approach, and maturity roadmap.
10+ years in enterprise infrastructure, cloud, or resiliency architecture roles.
Strong architecture experience across AWS and working knowledge of Azure / M365, VMware, and on-premises environments.
Hands-on understanding of DR concepts including RTO, RPO, failover, failback, dependency sequencing, backup and restore, and cyber recovery.
Experience designing DR strategies for hybrid environments with identity, network, and application dependencies.
Ability to facilitate workshops, challenge assumptions diplomatically, and work with both technical and executive stakeholders.
Strong written communication and architecture documentation skills.
Experience with enterprise backup platforms, immutable backup design, and ransomware recovery.
Working knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, VPN, firewall, and network dependency recovery.
Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tooling.
Exposure to regulated or audit-driven environments.
