Job Title: Architectural Engineer (High-Rise Building Project)

Job Summary

The Architectural Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating all architectural aspects of a high-rise construction project. This includes reviewing designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications and UAE regulations, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting site execution to achieve high-quality finishes and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Design Review & Coordination

• Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and interior design teams to resolve clashes and discrepancies.
• Ensure alignment between design intent and site execution.

Authority Approvals & Compliance

• Liaise with Dubai authorities (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense) for approvals and permits.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, regulations, and project standards.
• Prepare and submit required documents for approvals.

Site Supervision & Execution

• Monitor architectural works on-site including finishes, façade, waterproofing, and fit-out.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and coordinate with QA/QC team.

Material & Submittal Management

• Review and approve material submittals, samples, and mock-ups.
• Ensure materials meet project specifications and client expectations.
• Coordinate with procurement for timely material selection and delivery.

Quality Control

• Ensure high standards of finishing and workmanship.
• Identify defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Support QA/QC team in inspections and audits.

Coordination & Communication

• Work closely with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project managers.
• Attend design and site meetings and provide technical input.
• Respond to RFIs and technical queries.

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

• Track progress of architectural works and report delays or risks.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
• Ensure timely completion of architectural milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• Membership in a professional body is an advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in construction.
• At least 3–5 years in high-rise building projects in the UAE.
• Strong experience in façade systems, finishing works, and fit-out.
• Experience working with contractors or consultants in Dubai.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of architectural detailing and construction methods.
• Familiarity with UAE authority regulations and approval processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and MS Office.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
