Architect Lead

Job Responsibilities

Be responsible for the whole process design and shop drawings of the architectural major, including scheme design, preliminary design, construction drawing design, deepening design and on-site construction coordination, to ensure that the design meets the project requirements and functional needs.

Manage and review architectural shop drawings to ensure full compliance with the approved design, project specifications, and applicable standards. Coordinate shop drawings with structural and MEP disciplines to resolve clashes and technical issues, review contractor submissions, provide technical comments and approvals, and ensure that all details, materials, and dimensions are accurate and ready for construction execution.

Control the architectural function, facade effect, space layout, fire protection, evacuation and other core indicators, ensure that the design complies with the relevant national and local codes (such as Saudi SBC, IBC/BS) and the requirements of the owner.

Coordinate with structural, MEP, interior, landscape and other professional teams, solve the professional conflicts in the shop-drawing process, and ensure the coordination and consistency of the overall project process .

Be responsible for the review of architectural drawings, material selection, detail node deepening, and put forward reasonable suggestions for design optimization to reduce construction difficulty and cost.

Participate in technical disclosure, drawing review and on-site technical guidance, handle architectural design changes, and coordinate the implementation of changes on site.

Supervise the construction quality of the architectural part, check whether the on-site construction is consistent with the design drawings, and put forward rectification opinions for unqualified parts.

Job Requirements

Education Background: Bachelor's degree or above in Architecture or related majors; Master's degree is preferred.

Work Experience: More than 15 years of architectural design and on-site coordination experience in construction projects, among which more than 10 years of experience as an architect lead; experience in overseas construction projects (Saudi Arabia/Middle East) is preferred; experience in large-scale commercial, residential or public building projects is preferred.

Professional Skills: Proficient in architectural design and shop drawing software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.); familiar with international and local architectural codes (SBC, ACI ); have strong ability in drawing review, node deepening and design optimization; understand the process of material selection and construction technology.

Comprehensive Abilities: Strong communication and coordination ability, able to effectively coordinate with multiple professional teams; careful and rigorous work, with strong sense of responsibility and execution; proficient in English (listening, speaking, reading and writing), able to independently complete English design and shop drawing documents and communicate with foreign parties.

Others: Be able to work on the project site for a long time; have relevant professional qualification certificates (such as registered architect) is preferred.
