Architect of Record (AOR)

For 10 years we have been successfully implementing our architectural projects on the world stage.

Due to fast growth and launching new projects, we are looking for a Architect of Record (AOR) to join our team in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Authority Coordination & Compliance

• Lead and manage all authority submissions for design and construction, ensuring compliance with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, utility authorities, and other regulatory agencies.
• Interpret and apply Dubai building codes, regulations, and standards across all project documentation.
• Coordinate and track NOC requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely issuance and reinstatement when needed.

2. Documentation & Approvals

• Prepare, review, and validate architectural and multidisciplinary drawings prior to authority submission.
• Organize, compile, and submit all authority documentation, including permit applications, technical reports, and compliance forms.
• Respond to authority comments, prepare revision packages, and follow through until full approval is obtained.
• Maintain organized records of all submissions, approvals, comments, and revisions for project documentation.

3. Internal & External Coordination

• Collaborate with architectural, structural, MEP, and other engineering teams to ensure design packages meet regulatory expectations.
• Coordinate with contractors during construction to ensure permit conditions, site approvals, and authority requirements are met.
• Communicate proactively with clients, consultants, and stakeholders regarding approval timelines, expected risks, and required actions.

4. Project Management

• Monitor approval processes to maintain project schedules and mitigate delays related to authority submissions.
• Provide regular status updates on permit progress and regulatory compliance to project leadership.
• Ensure all project phases—from concept to construction completion—adhere to regulatory frameworks and project approval strategies.

5. Additional Advantage

• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi authority procedures (ADM, Civil Defense, ADDC, ADSSC) and compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture; UAE Society of Engineers membership preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Dubai authority submissions.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building regulations, authority portals, and submission workflows.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and authority platforms (Dubai Municipality, eNOC, DCD portals, etc.).
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple submissions, tight deadlines, and regulatory dependencies.
