In India, SYSTRA is an international consulting and engineering company operating in the fields of Metros, High Speed Rail, Railways, Roads, Buildings, Urban planning, and Water Infrastructure for public and private organizations.

SYSTRA’s urban planning work is based on an integrated vision of mobility. We assess all relevant issues right from the start of project development, including current and future travel requirements, urban planning, economic and social development, and environmental protection. SYSTRA has completed 17,000+ Square kilometer of Statutory Master Planning and 15+ City Development Plans (CDPs).
We are seeking applications for the position of Architect / Urban Designer/ Landscape Architect for Zonal Development Plans for eastern part of India.
Missions/Main Duties:
- Urban Design & Planning:
Contribute to the design, development, and preparation of urban plans, master plans, Transit Oriented Development (TOD) strategies, pedestrian infrastructure, street designs, local area plans, and urban renewal projects. -
Design Documentation:
Prepare detailed drawings, presentations, design reports, and visualizations in alignment with the requirements of Zonal Development Plans. -
Landscape & Public Realm Design:
Provide expertise in landscape architecture, designing public spaces, street scapes, parks, and recreational areas to enhance the urban environment. -
Collaboration:
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and authorities to ensure that designs reflect project objectives and community needs. -
Site Analysis & Contextual Design:
Perform site appraisals, contextual studies, and integrate landscape and architectural solutions responsive to local surroundings. -
Sustainability & Innovation:
Promote sustainable design principles and innovative approaches to urban form, pedestrianization, and green infrastructure. -
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements, achieving high-quality outcomes.
- Postgraduate degree in Urban Design or Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
OR - Graduate degree in Architecture from an accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in at least two urban design related projects, such as master plans, TODs, pedestrian infrastructure, street designs, local area plans, or urban renewal projects as an urban designer.
- Preference will be given to candidates with higher relevant experience in these areas.
