Position Summary:

The Architect will be responsible for developing innovative and functional project design, interior design concepts while ensuring alignment with project budgets, material specifications, and quality standards. The role requires strong aesthetic sense, material knowledge, and practical understanding of cost implications across design stages — from concept to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development

  • Prepare and present project design concepts, space planning layouts, and 3D visualizations.
  • Develop detailed design drawings, ID mood boards, and material palettes aligned with client requirements.
  • Ensure design intent is maintained throughout all project stages — concept, design development, and execution.

Material Knowledge & Specification

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings based on aesthetics, functionality, sustainability, and cost.
  • Maintain an updated library of interior materials, finishes, fixtures, and vendors.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source samples and technical data sheets.

Cost & Value Management

  • Prepare material cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and comparative cost analyses.
  • Optimize material selection for value engineering without compromising design quality.
  • Support procurement teams in vendor negotiations and budgeting exercises.

Coordination & Execution

  • Collaborate closely with MEP teams, and contractors for design coordination and technical integration.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure design execution as per drawings, quality, and material specifications.
  • Review shop drawings, mock-ups, and sample approvals.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities), material submittals, and finish schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and design standards.
  • Stay updated with market trends, sustainable materials, and cost-effective alternatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.
  • 8 years of relevant experience in Architectural, interior design and material coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and interior detailing.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, Lumion and MS Office.
  • Excellent sense of aesthetics, color, and proportion.
  • Strong communication and vendor coordination skills.
  • Ability to balance creativity with cost-efficiency.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in residential, commercial, or hospitality projects and its interiors.
  • Exposure to local and international material markets.
  • Familiarity with cost estimation tools or software
  • Knowledge of sustainable materials and green design principles.

  • Accuracy and quality of design deliverables.
  • Cost optimization achieved through material selection.
  • Timely delivery of drawings and material approvals.
  • Client satisfaction and feedback.
  • Effective coordination with vendors and project teams.
