Architect/Senior Architect

Role Summary

A qualified Architect with a strong contracting and construction background responsible for supporting the delivery of projects from design review through site execution. The role focuses on ensuring architectural drawings are buildable, coordinated across disciplines, and properly implemented on site. The Architect works closely with project managers, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues, review shop drawings and material submittals, and monitor quality and compliance with specifications and regulations. This position requires hands on site involvement, strong technical detailing knowledge, and the ability to balance design intent with practical construction requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and BOQs to ensure buildability and compliance with project requirements
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other disciplines to resolve design and technical clashes
• Prepare and review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
• Support project teams during tender and execution stages with technical architectural input
• Conduct site inspections to ensure architectural works are executed as per approved drawings and standards
• Respond to RFIs and technical queries from site teams and subcontractors
• Liaise with consultants and clients for drawing approvals and design clarifications
• Monitor finishing works and ensure quality of materials and workmanship
• Assist in value engineering proposals and cost-effective design solutions
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, codes, and permit requirements
• Participate in project meetings and provide architectural progress updates
• Support snagging, de snagging, and project handover processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
• Minimum 8 years' experience with a contracting company delivering high end or luxury developments in the UAE is a must
• Strong technical knowledge of architectural detailing, materials, and construction methods
