Manage the coordination of all architectural activities and timelines, ensuring that the project stays on schedule and within budget.
Review and approve all architectural submittals and deliverables, ensuring they meet the required quality standards and align with the overall project goals.
Collaborate with the project manager to monitor project progress, address any issues or delays, and provide solutions to ensure smooth execution.
Ensure that the architectural design enhances the guest experience while maintaining functionality and cost-efficiency, particularly within the hospitality context.
Work closely with the interior design team to ensure architectural elements complement the interior design vision, especially for high-end hospitality projects.
Conduct regular site visits and meetings to assess design implementation, resolve design-related issues, and ensure quality control throughout construction.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
10+ years of experience in architecture, with at least 5 years in a managerial role focused on the hospitality sector (hotels, resorts, etc.).
Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, building codes, and regulations specific to the hospitality industry.
Experience in managing large-scale projects, including overseeing design teams, and coordinating with various stakeholders.
Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination.
Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of architects and junior staff.
Strong understanding of the integration of architecture with other engineering disciplines, particularly MEP and interior design.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
In-depth knowledge of sustainable design practices and energy-efficient building strategies, especially within the hospitality industry.
