Architectural Engineer / Inspector

Job Purpose

To ensure that all architectural works on-site are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The Architectural Engineer / Inspector performs inspections, identifies non-conformities, coordinates with project stakeholders, and supports the Project Management team to achieve timely, high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Inspection & Quality Control
• Conduct regular inspections of architectural works to ensure adherence to design intent, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor construction progress and verify compliance with project schedules and quality plans.
• Ensure proper execution of architectural finishes and detailing as per approved drawings.
• Report and document non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
• Monitor deliveries of architectural materials based on the approved material submission.
• Technical Review & Documentation
• Review and comment on architectural RFI’s, material submittals, and shop drawings.
• Evaluate material submittals and samples to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain comprehensive inspection logs, reports, and documentation.
• Expand technical comprehension towards ID related issues when needed.
• Coordination & Collaboration
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, and finishing teams to resolve technical issues on-site.
• Participate in coordination and progress meetings to address architectural-related matters.
• Support the Senior Resident Engineer and Project Manager in achieving project milestones and maintaining quality standards.
• Compliance & Standards
• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, safety regulations, and sustainability requirements.
• Support adherence to QA/QC procedures and project quality manuals

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering
• Professional Certifications: Preferred: Relevant supervision or inspection certification
• Experience:
• 5–8 in architectural supervision or inspection roles, preferably within consultancy or construction supervision
• Extended roles in both architecture and interior fit-out
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office Suite
• Familiarity with QA/QC and construction supervision procedures
• Knowledgeable with UAE regulations, standards and procedures
• Soft Skills:
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality, Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Recognizes the importance of protecting the approved design despite expected site challenges during construction
• Languages: English (required); Arabic (advantage)
