Job Summary:
The Architectural Fit-Out Engineer oversees and coordinates the design, planning, and execution of interior fit-out works. This role ensures all works meet the project’s design intent, quality standards, building codes, and timelines. The engineer acts as the bridge between architects, contractors, and project managers, delivering high-quality spaces for commercial, residential, or retail environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, and material submissions to ensure design and specification compliance.

Coordinate with architects, interior designers, MEP engineers, and contractors to align all fit-out activities.

Supervise and inspect on-site fit-out works including partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, finishes, and furniture installations.

Prepare work schedules, material procurement lists, and manpower allocations for fit-out

tasks.Ensure fit-out works are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Conduct quality inspections and prepare snag lists, ensuring rectifications are completed before project handover.

Solve on-site technical problems and provide guidance to contractors for installation and detailing issues.

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for timely delivery and installation of materials and furnishings.

Maintain strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental guidelines.

Prepare progress reports, site documentation, and project updates for management.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Architecture, or relatedfield.

3-7 years of proven experience in architectural fit-out projects (commercial, hospitality, residential, or retail).

Strong knowledge of fit-out materials, finishes, and construction techniques.

Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.

Familiarity with building codes, fire safety regulations, and quality standards.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and other relevant software.

PMP or similar project management certification (advantageous).
