Role Overview
As the Architectural Liaison you will be the primary interface between our fabrication, engineering and manufacturing capabilities and the design-community (architects, design firms, consultants). You will cultivate relationships, position our technical capabilities early in the design process, and help win strategic projects by aligning design vision with buildable metal systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with architectural firms, design consultants, developers and contractors in the region.
- Attend design-meetings and consultations in the schematic/concept phase; present our metal fabrication capabilities, case-studies and sample systems.
- Translate architectural concept drawings and design intents into feasible systems — collaborate with estimating and engineering to prepare early budgets and fabrication strategy.
- Identify opportunities for our company’s proprietary systems or bespoke solutions to differentiate our proposals.
- Monitor upcoming projects, tender pipelines and design competitions; proactively promote our services.
- Provide feedback from the design community into our R&D/manufacturing teams regarding trends, material innovations and value-engineering possibilities.
- Support marketing by contributing to thought-leadership content, case-studies and design workshops.
- Track and report on pipeline, conversion rates, and client engagement metrics.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Industrial Design or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in architectural metal, façade systems, design-assist, or specialist subcontracting sales/business development.
- Deep understanding of architectural processes: schematic design, design-assist, tendering, shop-drawing coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, BIM/Revit models, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills. Able to credibly engage with architects, design directors, clients and decision-makers.
- Strategic thinker with both commercial and technical acumen — able to position value vs. cost, and translate design ambition into fabrication reality.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, comfortable working across multiple geographies/clients.
- Familiarity with metal fabrication processes (aluminium, stainless steel, corten, finishes), digital fabrication workflows is a plus.
Preferred Attributes
- Existing network of relationships with major architecture/design firms in the UAE/GCC region.
- Prior experience in early-stage design assisting or façade consultancy.
- Experience working in international project environments, multi-discipline coordination.
- Multilingual skills (English + Arabic) desirable for the GCC region.
