Job Description:
The Opportunity: Grow Your Career.
This role will oversee the scheduling of, coordination of, review and approval of, all Architectural and Engineering construction documents submitted by developers and/or their architects or architects hired by TJX, Ensuring they maintain the integrity of the TJX Specifications for TJX New Store projects.

Receive, and manage all A&E drawing submittals schedule and distribute to outside consultants for project review for all TJX new store brands. Ensure A&E reviews are done correctly and on time. Train and manage external project review consultants, create and distribute review reminder documentations to update information for reviews.

Manages outside consultants hired by TJX for REH project site surveys and HVAC M1 plans. Acts as a liaison between Landlords, Developers, Architects & Engineers, General Contractors, Equipment vendors, TJX managers of development, TJX project managers, etc. Also review consultant pricing and invoicing for all related AE consultant assignments.
- Answer daily questions from architects, engineers, external project review vendors, TJX MOD’s, PM’s. Provides support to other TJX division and upper management as required.

Interface with Landlord, developers, architects regarding A&E review issues and conducts meetings when necessary with both Landlord architects and TJX consultants to resolve these issues.

Arrange to have REH project site surveys scheduled and completed, receive, review, and comment on site survey packages. Receive finished site survey packages and distribute them as required.

Maintain the integrity and update TJX Specifications Manuals and MEP sample sets on an annual basis.

Interfaces with Store Planning Department on criteria drawing and specification details. Review preliminary and final plans for miscellaneous projects.

Interfaces with TJX internal departments including Store Planning and Construction to evaluate and assist with a-typical existing conditions for site specific new store locations.

Advise store planning of misunderstanding by A&E firms – Recommend corrections to criteria sets to improve comprehension of end users.

Supervise, schedule work, and make technical decisions for project reviewers.

Investigate and propose alternate materials and specifications to superiors for potential implementation.

Work with construction project managers to keep them current on content of specifications and MEP sample sets.

Work with architects/engineers and general contractors to advise and inform on company needs and monitor conformance of those needs.

Assist as required in Special Projects, Store Remodels, Store Planning, Pre-Planning, Buying Office projects, etc.
Who We’re Looking for: You.

Associates Degree in Business, Construction Management, or related fields. With additional technical education in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, estimating, project management or equivalent work experience in retail construction.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in one or more: Engineering, Architecture, Store Designer, Store Planning/Drafting, Construction Superintendent / Project management, General Construction, Outlook, Excel, Blue Beam, Adobe, Lucernex.

Extensive knowledge of General Construction and Retail Store Planning.

Solid understanding of store layouts, HVAC, electrical, plumbing criteria, and specifications.

Solid background in plan preparation, retail construction methods and procedures.

This position has a starting salary range of $92,900.00 to $118,500.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
