Position Summary: The ARD Facilitator is a campus-based, Special Education certified role responsible for ensuring the effective planning, coordination, and execution of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings. This role serves as a key partner to campus leaders, teachers, and families by guiding the ARD process to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while keeping student success at the center. The ARD Facilitator supports the preparation of all required documentation, collaborates with staff to gather student data, and ensures that ARD meetings are conducted with clarity, efficiency, and fidelity. In addition, this role builds strong relationships with families, fostering collaboration and shared understanding to best meet student needs. The ARD Facilitator helps create a culture of excellence and compliance in Special Education by managing timelines, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all stakeholders are well-prepared for each ARD meeting.
Qualifications
Required:

Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required

Special Education Teachers: Hold an active Special Education K-12 and core content certificate
-
Minimum 1-2 years teaching experience

Can pass a criminal background check

Your Responsibilities

Ensure all scholars with IEPs are entered and maintained in Frontline.

Code all scholars on caseload accurately in Ascender.
-
Add or remove scholars from Frontline using the Records Request/Withdraw Tracker.

Maintain caseload and update records regularly in Frontline.

Complete and manage all required documentation in eSped, including:

IEPs
-
ARD Notices
-
Supplements
-
IEP Progress Reports
-
Ensure instructional and testing accommodations are implemented as outlined in IEPs.

Track and document accommodations implementation in Branching Minds.
-
Monitor both general education and special education teacher compliance.
-
Provide all general education teachers with a copy of the “teacher bundle” (including accommodations, goals, and BIP):

At the beginning of the school year

Each time an IEP is updated
-
Provide ongoing training and support to general education teachers on:
-
How to read the teacher bundle
-
Implementing and documenting accommodations
-
Completing teacher input forms
-
Serve as a daily resource for campus administrators, teachers, and staff regarding IEP implementation and services.

Develop compliant, data-driven IEPs in collaboration with staff.
-
Collect teacher input forms and gather academic and behavioral data.
-
Schedule and facilitate ARD meetings by due dates with all required members.
-
Complete and activate IEPs post-ARD and archive previous versions.
-
Send IEP progress reports to parents every 9 weeks, aligned with report cards.
-
Follow ARD timeline and checklist for compliance.
-
Collaborate with:

Campus Testing Facilitator to ensure correct test versions and accommodations for assessments.

Campus Registar to ensure receipt and maintenance of special education records.

Related Service Providers to:

Verify services are being delivered
-
Ensure related service logs are completed, uploaded, and submitted with IEP progress reports every 9 weeks

Conduct IEP service compliance checks.

Monitor and maintain:

SHARS documentation

Transportation logs

Maintain campus compliance logs for all special education staff.

Attend monthly special education training webinars.

Share updates and due dates with other special education teachers.

Maintain regular contact with the Director of Special Education for support, updates, and additional training.

Abide by COVID policies in place at the time of employment

Maintain electronic grade books and timely submission of grades
-
Participate in weekly manager check-ins and observation debrief meetings
-
Provide after-school or Saturday tutoring as well as student recruitment events
-
Attend campus and network professional development
-
participate actively in a minimum number of student recruitment events annually (as determined and network and school guidance).
