Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment that fosters the intellectual and emotional growth of students. This role involves implementation of student IEP, developing engaging lesson plans that can be adapted based on individual student strengths, implementing effective classroom management strategies, and providing early intervention support to ensure all students thrive academically and socially.

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and IEP
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Provide early intervention strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance the educational experience.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment that prioritizes child welfare and development.
  • Collaborate with other educators in curriculum development and sharing best practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in teaching students with special needs.
  • Strong skills in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
  • Knowledge of early intervention strategies to support diverse learners.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate subjects such as math and literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that prioritizes child welfare.
  • IEP Team participation and input
  • Illinois Teaching Certification and LBS1 Certification are a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $82,500.00 - $85,000.00 per year
