A medical sales representative or a medical rep’s job is to promote and sell the pharmaceutical or medical products that are produced by a company. With new innovative drugs hitting the market ever so often, there is a need for professionals to educate people on the same. Pharmaceutical sales involve increasing brand awareness, answering questions, counseling the buyers and introducing new products. Working as a medical sales consultant usually involves sticking to one geographical location or territory, with a focus on a specialised product. Medical reps often interact with doctors, nurses and pharmacists and even host the occasional group event to increase the visibility of the products.
Key Responsibilities:
Your tasks
· Coordinate and collaborate with medical staff and healthcare providers through regular meetings
· Follow up on potential leads and convert them into clients through presentations, meetings, one-on-ones and workshops
· Have in-depth knowledge of the competition’s offerings as a healthcare sales rep
· Meet pharmaceutical sales targets, negotiate contracts, review pharmaceutical sales job performance and draft reports on the same
Required skills and qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceuticals, nursing or a related discipline
· Prior experience working as a medical representative or in a similar role
· Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal skills
· Ability to travel independently and frequently
· Strong negotiation and organisational skills
· Experience with CRM and ERP systems
· Ability to network and foster strong working relationships
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹450,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
