Step into Your New Role
Experience:
  • 10+ years of progressive and relevant finance commercial experience in the architecture/engineering/construction industry or a professional services firm with a project-based revenue model.
  • Contracts, financial reporting, project and internal controls, forecasting, analysis, and process management.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to make logical assumptions.
  • Identify and champion productivity improvements through process evaluations.
  • Capable of training Area resources to raise the level of business acumen .
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to manage and oversee multiple initiatives or assignments and effectively prioritize projects and time.
  • Excellent skills with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Power BI are required.
  • Detailed working experience with Deltek Vision/Vantage Point highly preferred.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Area Financial Support:
  • Contracts & Procurement
  • Provide sound financial, commercial, and business advice to minimize business and financial risks.
  • Provide financial and strategic input to major pursuits.
  • Review the pricing for all contracts/projects to capture the required level of effort and optimize project profitability.
  • Oversee the disclosure and dissemination of financial information.
  • Evaluate subcontractor agreements to ensure compliance with client contract terms and conditions (e.g., flow down provisions) and company policies.


Planning & Forecasting
  • Participate in strategic discussions with the Area Manager.
  • In conjunction with the Area Manager, direct the detailed annual planning process covering the overall operational P&L, manpower, working capital, and capital expenditures.
  • Identify deviations from the annual budget through the completion of short-term and long-term financial forecasts and communicate recommendations for corrective actions to achieve the annual budget.

Finance
  • Ensure compliance with revenue recognition accounting standards.
  • Perform month-end and year-end financial closing activities for the Area within required deadlines.

Cash Collections
  • Work with Project Managers, AR collectors, division, and area management to ensure cash collections are expedited and client issues impacting timely payment are rectified in an timely manner.
  • Forecast of Area cash flow and identify areas for improving the speed of collections.
  • Participate in operational meetings.


Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or other relevant background required.
