Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough inspections of electrical installations, equipment, and systems to ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. This includes inspecting wiring, circuits, transformers, switchgear, control panels, lighting systems, and other electrical components.
- Verify that electrical installations and equipment meet the applicable codes and standards.
- Identify any deficiencies or deviations from the requirements and recommend corrective actions. - Ensure that electrical systems and installations meet safety standards to protect against electrical hazards, such as shock, fire or electrocution. Assess safety practices, grounding systems, protection devices and overall electrical system reliability. - Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, observations and recommendations for corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results and compliance status. Communicate inspection results to all stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support to contractors, electricians, engineers and other stakeholders regarding electrical code requirements, interpretations and best practices. Assist in resolving code-related issues or discrepancies.
- Review electrical plans, designs and permit applications to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Grant approvals or issue permits for electrical installations and modifications after verifying compliance.
- Collaborate with other inspectors, engineers and project managers to ensure electrical compliance during construction, renovation or maintenance projects. Coordinate inspections and communicate with stakeholders to address any non-compliance issues.
- Stay updated with the latest electrical codes, regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure that electrical installations and systems meet the required quality standards. Implement and enforce quality control procedures during inspections.
- Conduct investigations and troubleshoot electrical issues, incidents or accidents. Analyze root causes, identify safety risks and recommend preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences.
- Ensure that measures to protect personal safety and well-being are always in place and that personal actions do not jeopardize the safety and well-being of others.
- Adhere strictly to Company's policies and procedures to prevent potential workplace and process safety incidents.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology
- Fresher or up to 5 years of experience.
