Area Manager Ops

Responsibility of entire Wireline Network including FTTH & Intercity OFC & ISP Network. Give best experience to end customer in terms of network Operation. CMO reduction with proper planning. Improve OFC network health. End to end responsibility of entire network. Partner management on patrolling quality Capex execution. Fiber cut reduction plan. Single fiber break, Preventive maintenance

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure effective implementation of O&M (Operations & Maintenance) processes and adherence to compliance standards, including preventive and corrective maintenance of ISP equipment.
• Monitor and drive performance metrics including KPI adherence, network uptime, MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), and SLA compliance for trouble tickets.
• Execute network expansion plans, including new network rollouts and ring de-choking , in alignment with network planning and business requirements.
• Coordinate with NOC and vendors to ensure timely resolution of faults, with a focus on minimizing repeat issues.
• Drive Opex optimization and Capex reduction through innovative initiatives such as End-of-Life equipment removal and infrastructure efficiency improvements.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, fostering skill development and operational excellence.
• Manage Network Operations and Maintenance to meet business targets within allocated budget and timelines , ensuring network quality, uptime , and continuous monitoring of Capex and Opex parameters.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including NOC, Projects, Planning, and SCM to ensure seamless network operations.
• Possess strong understanding of wireline transport networks, fixed-line broadband , and technologies such as OTN, MSAN, data circuits (ILP/Leased Line/PRI), SDH, DWDM, LCD, Metro Core , and CEN transport networks .
• Experience with equipment from multiple vendors such as Huawei, Nokia, Ciena, Cisco, ECI , along with a working knowledge of technologies specific to these platforms.
• Lead and implement Opex-saving initiatives including:
• Site and equipment optimization
• Indoor to Outdoor (ID to OD) conversion
• IMT integration
• Temperature setting adjustments
• VODC implementation
• Hot air ducting
• Site shifting
• SDH decommissioning
• PUE improvement
• Rent reduction through property owner negotiations
• Oversee Voice Core Network (IMS & NGN) operations, particularly involving Huawei systems , including maintenance and fault resolution in collaboration with private and government POI partners.
• Ensure efficient field fault handling across various deployed devices, coordinating with NOC and relevant teams for access, spares, tools, and execution of the fault resolution plan within SLA timelines.
