As Area Marketing Manager you are responsible for all strategic planning, implementation, and tracking of brand marketing campaigns and promotions to drive increased revenue across the DHM portfolio of hotels, whilst maintaining outstanding brand standards and brand experiences for guests. This role reports to the General Manager of El Conquistador Tucson and the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Desert Hospitality Management. You will work alongside the Director of Sales & Marketing of El Conquistador Tucson and eight other DHM properties to ensure all B2B marketing initiatives are brand compliant to present a cohesive brand vision across the business spectrum.

Key Strategic Responsibilities:

Ø Branding: Leads and defines all brand strategy, positioning, vision, and messaging.

Ø Brand Planning: Leads strategic brand marketing, consumer marketing plans, including all campaigns and promotions.

Ø Budgets: Manages the annual marketing budget and tracks projections vs actual spend.

Ø Industry Partnerships: Represents the brand to key external partners and agencies i.e Visit Tucson, Oro Valley Chamber etc.

Ø External Partnerships: Identifies revenue-driving strategic partnerships that align to the hotel’s positioning and strategic goals.


Tactical Marketing Execution & Analysis:

Ø eCommerce: Oversees eCommerce campaigns to support the hotel strategic marketing plans working within budget. This includes (but is not limited to) organic and paid social channels. Tracks and analyzes success of digital marketing campaigns.

Ø Media Partnerships: Manages all media partnerships (print, radio, TV) including relationship management, scheduling, production and managing deliverables.

Ø Content: Helps craft and deliver content that meets brand standards.

Ø PR: Cultivates and maintains strong, positive media relationships on a national, regional, and local level.

Ø Maintains hotels’ social media channels to promote greater customer engagement and to promote campaigns, promotions, special events, travel related content and property highlights and announcements. Responds to guest requests/feedback on property blogs and social media channels.

Ø Website Content: Manages Hilton and vanity website content including upkeep of images, special offers, landing pages and other site content enhancements and requirements. Responsible for ensuring all legal and security requirements are maintained on the vanity site.

Ø Influencer: Manages influencer strategy and content planning.

Ø Third Party Site Management: Maintains all imagery and content within 3rd party sites, including but not limited to: Expedia, Booking.com, TripAdvisor

Ø Content & Asset Management: Identifies visual asset needs and coordinates all photo & video shoots as needed.

Ø Project Management: Manages the development of creative (with external agencies when needed) for all marketing initiatives, ensures timely media placement and coordination of production/materials deadlines.

Ø Manages the development of any key team members or interns within the marketing division in the future.

Ø Note: Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management


Meetings and Reporting:

Ø Prepares and presents marketing initiatives and analytics at strategic meetings and staff meetings as needed.

Ø Prepares marketing activity reports on a regular cadence and on an as needed basis.

Ø Reporting: Pulls ad-hoc reports for leadership to assist with ownership and/or corporate meetings.

Relationships:


Internal: Sales: Develop monthly promotions


External: Travel Agencies: To promote hotel services and generate business.


Qualifications:


Education/Experience: Bachelor Degree or equivalent. A minimum of three to Five years’ work experience in the Marketing field is preferred. Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit exemplary performance.

Will be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Ability to stand for long hours at a time. As Manager on Duty, ability to move quickly around to the various departments of the property.

Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly, both oral and written. Work well in stressful, high-pressure situations and be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.

Must be effective at listening to, understanding and clarifying concerns and issues raised by team members and guests. Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
