Job Summary:

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and enhancing brand presence across multiple retail locations. You will lead a team of store managers and sales associates, ensuring optimal performance and execution of sales strategies. Area Manager is a bridge between HQ and Stores to filter down the information with effective communication and execute at front level by ensure the compliance of all the processes, procedures and time to time launched new initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:


Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve regional targets.
  • Monitor sales performance across stores, providing guidance and support.
  • Driving sales and Align KPI with business Goals.
  • Ensure region must deliver set target on a Monthly, Quarterly & Yearly basis.
  • Frequent Weekly Store visit along with Weekly Rota and Area Manager Visit Report execution and effective sales drive.

Monitoring and Update sales on Hourly and Daily basis.

  • Sales Analysis and Feedback mechanism on business performance.
  • Store impact report must be share on a weekly basis.
  • Ensuring Sampling process are being followed across all stores as per the guided timings
  • Ensuring Testers & Damages Process is followed 100% without fail.


Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor store management teams.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and set individual goals.
  • Develop and implement department objectives, individual staff objectives along with KPIs and manage performance review and appraisal of subordinate staff based on these objectives by annually/quarterly.
  • Schedule regular reviews (monthly, quarterly) to assess KPI performance.
  • Use dashboards for visual representation and easy interpretation of data.
  • Share KPI results with employees and involve them in discussions on performance improvement.
  • Check on Staff Rotation and their individual performance.
  • Staff Rotation based on performance (Including Store Managers).
  • Specific Training on Selling Skills and Customer Service.


Market Analysis:

  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Adjust strategies based on competitive landscape and sales data.
  • Stay abreast with competitor activities, new product launches, prevailing market trends and issues; analyze its impact towards the business in long run and devise strategies to counter any possible threat.
  • Action Plan on customer feedback mechanism.


Inventory and Merchandising:

  • Ensure optimal inventory levels and effective visual merchandising.
  • Collaborate with stores on promotional events and launches.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to the Inventory process, Stock Receiving, Inter Store Transfer & FIFO.
  • 100% Process adherence to Damage and Shrinkage Policy.
  • Manage new product launches, promotional campaign planning and product management to increase revenue, and improve brand visibility and availability of product in the market.
  • Process Adherence to Product display guideline & New Product Launch.
  • Collaborating with Regional Inventory team for Stock support.


Administrative Duties:

  • Responsible to conduct shop audit on monthly basis for respective region and report to RSM
  • To ensure company policies, operational procedures and manuals are fully implemented.
  • All communications from HQ to be taken seriously, and all company guidelines and policies to be religiously followed without any deviation of process.

Relationship Building:

  • Establish strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and communication among team members.
  • Cost effective negotiation with Mall partners.


Qualification & Experience


Bachelor – Master degree in Retail Management or Sales Management

6+ years of experience in sales within perfumes, cosmetics or retails industry.

Strong sales negotiation skills.

Ability to lead, motivate, and manage sales team across multiple outlets.

Knowledge of retails KPI’s, sales reporting and performance

Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
