AREA SALES EXECUTIVE (ASE)

Work Experience: 1–4 years (FMCG/Alcobev)

Role Summary

  • Execute daily market operations, ensure secondary sales delivery, and drive outlet coverage & visibility across assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve secondary sales targets, call rates & numeric distribution objectives.
  • Ensure beat adherence & improve coverage penetration through focused expansion.
  • Drive order booking, delivery coordination & retailer-level replenishment.
  • Maintain distributor stock hygiene; proactively avoid OOS situations.
  • Execute visibility assets, POSM placement & merchandising standards.
  • Support launches, promotions & trade activation programs.
  • Strengthen retailer relationships to drive loyalty, shelf presence & premiumization.
  • Track competitor pricing, schemes & trade programs.
  • Maintain daily sales reports, secondary trackers & coverage dashboards.
  • Use handheld/DMS tools for real-time performance reporting.

Education

  • Graduate; MBA/PGDM preferred.

Key Skills

  • Strong retail execution discipline & ability to manage dense, fast-moving markets.
  • Excellent relationship-building capabilities with retailers & distributor teams.
  • Good negotiation ability for shelf space, visibility & display enhancement.
  • Basic analytical & reporting ability using sales dashboards & market information.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving & operational follow-through.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent execution outcomes across beats.

Qualifications

  • Prior sales functional experience (preference for FMCG/Alcobev).
  • Experience working with DMS, handheld devices or beat planning tools.
  • Ability to work effectively with distributor salesmen & field promoters.
