Job Description – Area Sales Manager (Life Sciences)
Location: Mumbai

Medispec is seeking a high-performing Area Sales Manager to lead sales and business development in Mumbai and Western India. The role involves promoting our full range of advanced life science instruments and cell analysis solutions to academia, research institutes, pharma, biopharma, CROs, and government laboratories.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Market Development
· Drive sales across Medispec’s portfolio, including:
o Cell Analysis Solutions (Agilent Cell Analysis, Seahorse, Imaging, RTCA)
o Flow Cytometers & Cell Separation Systems
o SPR Systems (Nicoya)
o Gel Documentation Systems & Colony Counters
o CO₂ Incubators & Core Lab Equipment
o X-ray Imaging Systems (Animal Imaging)
o Erillo Product Line
· Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
· Identify new opportunities in pharma, biopharma, institutes, CROs, and industry.
· Execute territory-wise business development strategies.
2. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
· Build strong long-term relationships with scientists, faculty, procurement teams, and decision-makers.
· Coordinate with internal teams (Applications, Service, Product Managers, Management) to ensure seamless customer support.
· Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and support demos with FAS involvement.
· Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and account retention.
3. Sales Operations & Forecasting
· Maintain an accurate pipeline and deliver timely revenue forecasts.
· Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to refine strategy.
· Submit structured visit reports, opportunity updates, and business reviews.
Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.
· 3–8 years of successful sales experience in life science instrumentation.
· Strong understanding of cell analysis technologies, imaging, flow cytometry, or related platforms.
· Proven ability to manage pharma, biopharma, academia, and government accounts.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
· Self-driven, organized, and capable of working independently.
· Proficiency in MS Office and CRM/ERP tools.
· Willingness to travel up to ~20 days/month within the region.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
