Role Summary

The Area Manager – Payment Lounge (Online Acquiring) will be responsible for driving business growth in the online acquiring segment through merchant onboarding, and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive business development for online acquiring (payment gateway) products within the assigned region.
• Identify SME and Enterprise potential merchants across various sectors.
• Identify, onboard, and manage merchants and partners to grow transaction volumes and revenue.
• Manage end-to-end merchant lifecycle including onboarding, activation, and retention.
• Manage relationships with key clients, ensuring smooth operations and resolution of service issues.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning
• Coordinate with product, risk, operations, and technology teams to enable seamless merchant integration and transaction processing.
• Monitor performance metrics, market trends, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in online acquiring, digital payments, or merchant services.
• Good understanding of payment gateways, digital payments, and the fintech industry.
• Proven ability to meet business targets and manage key accounts effectively.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
