Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Distributors Appointing

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Appoint, manage, and motivate distributors and dealers within the assigned territory.
• Identify new business opportunities and generate leads to expand market reach.
• Ensure effective product placement, visibility, and availability across retail outlets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers.
• Take complete ownership of payment collections, credit control, and outstanding recovery.
• Monitor distributor performance and ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.
• Conduct regular market visits to track competitor activities, pricing, and promotional strategies.
• Coordinate with marketing and logistics teams to ensure smooth product supply and execution of promotions.
• Prepare and submit periodic sales reports, market feedback, and sales forecasts to management.
• Ensure adherence to company standards, sales processes, and ethical business practices.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Achievement of assigned sales targets
• Number of new distributors appointed
• Market coverage and product penetration
• Timely payment collection and control of outstanding dues
• Growth and performance of distributor and retailer network

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
• 3–7 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in a similar role.
• Strong expertise in distributor appointment and channel management.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and handling payment collections.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
