We are expanding our presence in the Kochi region and are looking for a seasoned professional with strong field experience to lead business development efforts in this segment.
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager (ASM) to drive business growth in the HoReCa sector for the Multiple region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in food & beverage / frozen food distribution, strong customer relationships, and excellent field execution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Expand HoReCa Business: Identify, onboard, and nurture new HoReCa clients (Hotels, Restaurants, Caterers) in the assigned territory to increase market share and product penetration.
- Field Sales & Client Visits: Conduct regular client visits to maintain strong relationships, understand requirements, and offer appropriate frozen food solutions.
- Sales Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Demand Generation & Visibility: Drive product visibility through sampling, on-ground activations, promotions, and merchandising at HoReCa outlets.
- Product Knowledge & Demonstration: Educate customers on frozen product offerings, conduct demos, and provide training on proper handling and usage.
- Route Planning & Coverage: Strategically plan daily routes to ensure optimal area coverage and maximum client engagement.
- Order & Supply Coordination: Manage end-to-end order processes, coordinate with logistics and supply chain to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotional strategies to share actionable insights with management.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with chefs, purchase managers, hotel owners, and other key decision-makers.
- Internal Coordination: Work closely with branch offices, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
- Collections & Payments: Track outstanding payments and ensure timely collections in line with company policies.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in HoReCa / Frozen Food / FMCG / B2B Food Service sales, with strong field exposure.
- Proven experience in frozen food distribution or similar categories is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of handling field challenges independently.
- Willingness for extensive fieldwork within Kochi and nearby regions.
- Preffering candidates from Ernakulam/TVM/Kottayam/ Calicut are preferred for better regional coverage.
- Maturity and decision-making ability to manage clients and resolve on-ground issues effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
