Area Sales Manager – Retail Footwear

Job Overview

We are looking for a driven and results-focused Area Sales Manager with strong experience in the retail footwear industry. The ideal candidate will oversee multiple store locations, boost sales performance, manage teams effectively, and ensure a high standard of customer service across all outlets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily operations of multiple footwear retail stores
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals
  • Monitor store performance using KPIs and sales data
  • Lead, train, and motivate store managers and sales staff
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained across all locations
  • Plan and execute sales strategies, promotions, and seasonal campaigns
  • Supervise inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain teams
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities
  • Prepare and present sales reports and performance updates to management
  • Maintain brand standards, including visual merchandising and store appearance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • 4–7 years of experience in retail sales, preferably in footwear or fashion
  • Experience managing multiple store locations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
  • Proven expertise in sales planning, forecasting, and performance tracking
  • Good understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and inventory management
  • Proficiency in MS Office and retail reporting tools

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with well-known footwear retail brands
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
