Role Description
We are seeking an Area Sales Manager for Turkey in an on-site, full-time capacity based in Turkey. The Area Sales Manager will develop and execute sales strategies, manage customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and achieve sales targets within the region. The role involves providing welding solutions to customers, coordinating with technical teams, and serving as a key contact for distributors and clients in Turkey and surrounding countries.
Roles & Responsibilities

Sells the entire product portfolio of the company (filler metals, welding equipment, personal protective equipment, wear & surface protection, finishing chemicals, etc.)

Owns and delivers the annual sales budget (volume, value, margin) for the respective area (territory)

Develops or supports the development of the assigned area (territory) sales budget & mid-term planning

Develops sales plans in line with the country and regional sales strategy

Plans and executes sales initiatives and promotions to meet budgeted KPIs, and develops counter-measures if needed

Ensure professional provision of technical support and after sales service

Does monthly rolling (3-6 months) sales volume forecasting

Follows company’s Sales Process Excellence guidelines and tools

Uses SAM (CRM) for sales process management (Find-Win-Keep)

Plans, executes and tracks customer visits and follow-ups

Does lead generation and opportunity management

Does customer retention management
-
Maintains and expands the customer base of the area (direct accounts, distributors,…)

Does pricing within predetermined parameters (price list, price authority for direct business)

Supports and/or manage RFQ’s for project business

Manages the customer care (claim) process within the predefined guidelines

Conducts regular market intelligence (competitor monitoring, market research)

Coordinates with related functions (MarCom, Technical Sales, etc.)
Qualification
-
Engineering (Metallurgical, Mechanical or Electrical) Diploma or Degree
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales of welding, industrial or technical products
-
Detailed knowledge of welding products and welding processes
-
Self-organized individual with high degree of individual responsibility and self-motivation
-
Strong communication skills, team-player with coordinating skills and assertiveness
-
Ability to work across a multi-functional organization

Willing to travel locally and internationally

Excellent command of English – oral and written

Strong knowledge and experience in the use of Sales Management Tools (CRM)

The candidate should be based in Turkey

Valid motor vehicle driver’ license
