Overview:
Executes crash, fire, and rescue responses, along with associated duties and training, as well as structural fire responses within a crew. Conducts hazardous materials responses and training at the Operational level. Executes Basic Life Support responses and duties at the EMT-B level. Assumes responsibility for the daily operational maintenance of equipment and the vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Assumes responsibility for addressing fire suppression, rescue, and medical emergencies at the MNG AVN OSEG Site.

Supervises the preparedness of fire and medical equipment for prompt response to emergencies at the MNG AVN OSEG Heliport (Riyadh).

Ensures equipment readiness for all emergency service requests, including fire, EMS, and special rescue operations.

Prioritizes support requirements to effectively manage concurrent medical and fire emergencies.

Maintains adequate resources, ensuring continuous operational readiness for mission-critical equipment.

Participates in weekly all-hands fire department meetings with the fire chief.

Completes all required proficiency training to uphold skill standards.

Demonstrates effective communication with customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Exhibits proficiency in both oral and written communication.

Undergoes a physical examination as part of the selection process, requiring normal color discrimination and corrected visual acuity.

Candidates must be free from pyrophobia, acrophobia, or claustrophobia.

Performs any additional duties assigned by the Chief, Assistant Chief, or Lieutenant of the fire department.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred.

International Fire Service Accreditation Congress certification, DoD and/or ProBoard required.

Firefighter Level II required.

ARFF Firefighter required.
-
Hazardous Materials Operations required.

ARFF Driver Operator preferred.

Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) required – Emergency Medical Technician Certification issued by a State Agency or the National Registry preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years firefighting experience in a civilian or military aviation firefighting role.
Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements:

Expert knowledge of aircraft rescue and firefighting techniques, practices and equipment, as well as first aid and CPR.

Considerable knowledge of the design and characteristics of military and civilian rotary wing aircraft.

Considerable knowledge of exit and safety procedures of various military and civilian rotary wing aircraft, and structural fire/alarm detection / suppression systems.

Ability to quickly perform and direct all functions in difficult and hazardous situations, without hesitation.

Ability to comprehend and apply instructions and communicate information in a clear and concise manner.

Ability to learn, apply and teach aircraft rescue and firefighting techniques and practices.

Ability to lead in potentially dangerous situations and make quick and sound decisions.

Ability to perform physically demanding work and withstand very hazardous conditions.

Skill in the operation of aircraft rescue and firefighting equipment, tools and vehicles, including highly specialized firefighting apparatus.

Possesses a valid Class B driver’s license.
