Armed Security Officer (0098)

Sentry Force Security is seeking several reliable and experienced Armed Security Officers to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. Several full-time and a few part-time positions are available. Strong customer service acumen required.

The pay rate for this position is $20 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
• Request emergency personnel for high risk situations

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have an Active Virginia DCJS Armed license.
• 2 years previous experience in armed security, law enforcement, corrections, or active duty military.
• First Aid and CPR/AED certified
• Must be capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs, running, physically restraining a violent person, lifting objects weighing up to 50lbs
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic computer literacy
