Armed Security Officer

Our team is seeking an experienced Armed Security Officer to join us in protecting our employees, visitors, and assets. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in Law Enforcement, Military or Security who are committed to vigilance, integrity, and excellence.

Job Overview

As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding our facility through access control, surveillance, patrols, and incident response. This is a high-visibility role requiring alertness, sound judgment, and the ability to act swiftly in emergencies. Officers are required to wear a duty belt and tactical vest while on duty to ensure readiness and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Control facility access by screening employees, visitors, and contractors using scanners, x-ray machines, and metal detectors.
• Enforce company loss-prevention policies and monitor individuals entering or exiting the facility.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to deter, detect, and respond to security or safety concerns.
• Maintain a strong, professional security presence at all times.
• Operate and monitor CCTV, access control, and other security systems, both onsite and remotely.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, including medical incidents and evacuations.
• Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports, logs, and security documentation.
• Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Support company emergency response drills and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military service strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in firearms handling (pistol and rifle) with valid firearm permit.
• Possess a valid Concealed Firearms Permit.
• Familiarity with surveillance and access control systems, plus basic computer skills.
• Strong observation skills, attention to detail, and situational awareness.
• Works well within a team, contributing positively and supporting colleagues.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective under pressure.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods.
• Must successfully pass background checks, drug screening, and recurring firearms qualification.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
