Job Description

As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver in Reston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, where your presence supports a professional, customer-focused environment. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, perform security-related checks, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors to help to deter incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements, backed by a caring, agile, and integrity-driven team.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the technology and telecommunications location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter routes, to help to identify unusual activity and/or hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management by verifying credentials, supporting badge procedures, and directing authorized individuals to the appropriate destinations per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting the appropriate internal contacts and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership and/or incoming personnel during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
