Armed Security Officer (3001)

We are seeking reliable and experienced Armed Security Officers to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. Full Time and part time positions are available. The pay range for this position is $23 per hour.

The locations we are hiring for are as follows:

• Harrisonburg

The available schedules we are hiring for are as follows:

• Monday-Friday 7:30a-5:30p
• Saturday 7:30am-1p

Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
• Request emergency personnel for high risk situations

Qualifications:

• Strong candidates will have their Active VA DCJS license, however training may be provided on a case by case basis
• 2 years previous experience in armed security, law enforcement, corrections, or active duty military
• First Aid and CPR/AED certified
• Must be capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs, running, physically restraining a violent person, lifting objects weighing up to 50lbs
• Strong attention to detail
