Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality art lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
  • Teach a range of artistic disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, design, printmaking, and digital art.
  • Foster creativity, self-expression, and artistic confidence among students.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and achievement.
  • Organize and maintain art materials, equipment, and classroom resources.
  • Ensure a safe and productive learning environment, following health and safety procedures.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Display and celebrate student artwork through exhibitions, competitions, and school events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student development.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and school events.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, Visual Arts, Design, or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification/certification (PGCE, QTS, State Teaching License, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in art education.
  • Strong knowledge of art techniques, materials, and art history.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital art tools and design software is an advantage.
