Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality art lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
- Teach a range of artistic disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, design, printmaking, and digital art.
- Foster creativity, self-expression, and artistic confidence among students.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and achievement.
- Organize and maintain art materials, equipment, and classroom resources.
- Ensure a safe and productive learning environment, following health and safety procedures.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Display and celebrate student artwork through exhibitions, competitions, and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student development.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and school events.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, Visual Arts, Design, or a related field.
- Teaching qualification/certification (PGCE, QTS, State Teaching License, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in art education.
- Strong knowledge of art techniques, materials, and art history.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital art tools and design software is an advantage.
