Studio Art at Great Hearts

• Studio Art - K-5 - Courses include instruction in theory, art history, and practicum for students
• Studio Art - 7-8th grade; 11-12th grade - Courses build on the theory and practice of studio art techniques taught each year
• Introduction to the Fine Arts (History and Practicum) - 6th grade - At some academies, this introduction to the fine arts covers basic theory and instruction in each of the fine arts areas taught at the prep academy. Some new academies offer this course in 7th grade for entering students.

Requirements for teaching:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role
• Certification is not required for general education
• All majors are welcome

Work Authorization - US work authorization is required, but we do accept OPT/CPT candidates.
