Artificial Intelligence (AI) Business Partner – Shared Services

WSP in the Middle East are seeking an AI Business Partner – Shared Services to work closely with senior leaders across Shared Services (Finance, HR, Procurement, IT and related functions) within a large engineering and consulting organisation.

The role focuses on driving practical, value‑led AI and digital transformation—translating business challenges into scalable, AI‑enabled solutions and embedding change across complex, multi‑region operations.

It is a hands‑on, commercially focused, and outcome‑driven role, suited to someone who has led real transformation initiatives rather than simply designing frameworks.

Strategic AI Partnership:

• Partner with Shared Services leadership to identify, shape and prioritise AI-enabled transformation opportunities.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Finance, HR and Operations leaders, connecting business strategy to technology and data capabilities.

• Translate complex operational challenges into clear AI use cases with measurable business value.
  

AI & Transformation Delivery

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AI-driven initiatives (e.g. process automation, predictive analytics, intelligent reporting, decision support).
• Drive adoption of tools such as GenAI, intelligent automation, process mining, and advanced analytics across Shared Services.

• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, compliant and aligned with organisational standards.
  

Change & Adoption

• Work closely with stakeholders to embed change, ensuring AI solutions are adopted and deliver sustained impact.
• Support upskilling of Shared Services teams in AI literacy and data-driven ways of working.
Manage change narratives, communications and engagement at senior and operational levels.

Governance & Value Realisation

• Define success metrics, track benefits realisation, and report progress to executive stakeholders.
• Ensure AI initiatives align with data governance, ethics, risk and regulatory requirements.
• Balance innovation with pragmatism—focusing on what works, at scale.
• Establish and maintain an AI governance framework aligned to Finance, Audit, and Shared Services requirements.

• 8-10 years’ experience in business transformation, digital transformation, or AI-enabled change, ideally within:
  • Engineering, consulting, professional services, or similarly complex organisations
• Proven track record of delivering transformation within Shared Services (Finance, HR, Procurement, GBS/GCC environments).
• Hands-on experience implementing AI, automation, or advanced analytics in real business settings (not purely advisory).
• Strong stakeholder management experience, including senior leadership and functional heads.
• Proven experience delivering digital or AI‑enabled solutions
• Experience in matrix, multi-country organisations.
• Background working with consultancies or large global firms.
• Exposure to ERP environments (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and shared services platforms.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Tools: P6, Aconex, ACC, Power BI.

• Exposure to GenAI, automation, analytics.

• Experience within enterprise governance environments.
