Job Title: AI Engineer – Azure AI (LLM, OpenAI, Copilot)

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated AI Engineer to join our product engineering team and drive the design, development, and integration of AI-powered features across our platforms.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with Azure AI, LLMs, copilots, and modern AI frameworks , and excited to build real-world AI applications such as chatbots, document intelligence, and recommendation systems.

You will play a key role in research, prototyping, and scaling AI solutions while closely collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

AI Development & Implementation

• Design and build AI-driven features for existing and new products
• Integrate Azure AI services , including:
• Azure OpenAI (LLMs, copilots, chatbots)
• Azure Cognitive Services (Vision, Speech, Language)
• Azure AI Search / Vector Search
• Develop intelligent modules such as:
• Document processing (OCR + classification)
• Conversational AI (chatbots/copilots)
• Recommendation and prediction engines

Research & Prototyping (Critical)

• Explore emerging AI tools, frameworks, and trends
• Build POCs to validate AI use cases
• Partner with leadership to identify high-impact AI opportunities
• Work on prompt engineering and agent-based workflows

Product Integration & Engineering

• Build and expose AI capabilities via APIs / microservices
• Integrate AI modules with existing .NET / Angular product stack
• Ensure scalability, performance, and secure implementation
• Work on AI workflow orchestration (multi-step intelligent pipelines)

Data & AI Pipeline Management

• Process structured and unstructured data
• Work with embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search
• Design pipelines for AI model input/output handling
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with Product Managers, BAs, and Engineering teams
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, reviews)
• Contribute to the AI roadmap and feature prioritization

Innovation & Learning

• Stay updated with the Azure AI ecosystem and advancements
• Identify opportunities to enhance product efficiency using AI
• Support internal AI adoption and innovation initiatives

Must-Have Skills

• Strong programming in Python or C#
• Experience with backend/API development
• Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals (NLP, embeddings, LLMs)
• Exposure to Azure Cloud (App Services, Functions, Storage)
• Knowledge of REST APIs & microservices architecture
• Hands-on or conceptual exposure to:
• Azure OpenAI / LLM integrations
• Prompt engineering basics
• Vector databases / semantic search

Good-to-Have

• Experience with LangChain / Semantic Kernel / AI orchestration frameworks
• Exposure to:
• Document AI / OCR solutions
• Chatbot / copilot development
• Agent-based workflows / automation
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Quality and scalability of AI integrations

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in software development or AI/ML roles
• Experience in product or SaaS environment preferred
• Exposure to real-world AI/ML use cases or implementations
