Artificial Intelligence Product Intern

Are you looking for an exciting summer opportunity to gain valuable skills and make a meaningful impact across Washington state’s communities? Support TriForza as an Artificial Intelligence Product Intern and gain hands on experience exploring how artificial intelligence can improve healthcare technology solutions. You will work on real projects based on your experience, which may include building or prototyping AI models, developing data visualizations, and researching emerging AI approaches such as agent-based workflows. Through this work, you will help evaluate how new AI capabilities could support product innovation and operational efficiency while developing key technical and professional skills in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

This non-exempt internship pays an hourly rate of $28.00 and is full-time (40 hours per week). Interns are expected to work during our standard business hours, which are from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Interns are typically required to work onsite at our Seattle office every Tuesday, with the option for remote work on other days based on departmental needs.

Depending on your experience and interests, you may support projects focused on:

  • Collaborating with the AI product team to explore how artificial intelligence can support product development and improve healthcare technology solutions.
  • Contributing to the development or prototyping of AI and machine learning models based on your technical background and experience.
  • Creating data visualizations or analytical outputs that help surface insights and make complex data easier for internal teams or customers to understand.
  • Researching emerging AI technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for new product capabilities or workflow improvements.
  • Synthesizing findings and developing recommendations that help the team evaluate potential AI use cases and solutions.

The experience, skills, and education needed to succeed in the position are outlined below. These requirements are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the essential functions of the role.

  • Currently pursuing an associates, bachelors, or master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience tackling open-ended problems and building solutions through coursework, research, or personal projects.
  • Familiarity with current AI tools or platforms, such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar generative AI technologies.
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, Python, or R to support analysis or reporting is a plus.
  • Experience with machine learning tools (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas, Jupyter/Colab), Git, and computer vision tools like OpenCV is a plus.
  • Displays a high level of accountability by effectively managing tasks independently, meeting goals, and delivering high-quality work while staying dedicated to team objectives.
  • Ability to collect relevant information, assess data, and make thoughtful contributions to projects or problem-solving activities.
  • Enthusiastic about collaborating with diverse teams, contributing to an inclusive environment, and seeking opportunities for growth and improvement within the internship and organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in team settings.
