Artist/Designer

Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile Artist/Designer who is equally comfortable in conceptual design and hands-on execution. The role demands a strong creative foundation, material exploration skills, and the ability to translate ideas into finished works across styles and scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop concepts, sketches, and designs for characters, props, miniatures, and installations.
• Sculpt, model, and fabricate using a wide range of materials (clay, plaster, silicone, resin, PU, etc.).
• Translate 2D designs into 3D forms using both traditional and digital methods.
• Collaborate with the fabrication team on mechanised builds, mould-making, wearables, and prosthetics.
• Explore material finishes, textures, and techniques to achieve desired outcomes.
• Work across artistic styles—hyper-realistic, realistic, stylised—and adapt as per project needs.
• Engage in experimentation, prototyping, and problem-solving to push creative boundaries.

Skills & Requirements

• Strong foundation in drawing, sculpting, and design thinking.
• Proficiency in 2D & 3D design tools (sketching, digital design software, 3D modelling preferred).
• Experience with fabrication techniques, mould-making, and finishing.
• Understanding of digital fabrication processes (3D printing, laser cutting) is an advantage.
• Ability to balance artistic expression with practical execution.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently when required.
• A passion for exploring new mediums and creating unique, tangible outcomes.

Offish Character Art Studio is a unique facility in Mumbai providing conceptual design to physical manufacturing for the entertainment and creative industries. We bring imagination to life by combining traditional skills with cutting-edge technologies. From plaster to polyurethane, clay to silicon, traditional sculpting to laser cutting and 3D printing—we handle them all with ease. Our projects span hyper-real to stylised, mechanised builds to miniatures, wearables, and prosthetics.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
