Arts - Teacher and After Care

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Arts Teacher and After Care provider to join our team. This role involves creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children while fostering their creativity through various art forms. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to promoting positive childhood development.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging art lesson plans that cater to different age groups and skill levels.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Provide aftercare support, supervising children during activities, homework time, and recreational play.
• Utilize behavior management techniques to address individual needs and promote positive interactions among students.
• Collaborate with other educators to integrate arts into the broader curriculum.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with best practices in early childhood education.

Experience

• Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, such as daycare, tutoring, or camp environments.
• Strong background in arts education, including theater or visual arts.
• Familiarity with special education practices and the ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning needs.
• Knowledge of first aid procedures is preferred.
• Experience in sports coaching or other extracurricular activities is a plus.
• A background in Christian counseling or similar supportive roles is beneficial but not required. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about teaching and committed to fostering a love for the arts in children while providing quality aftercare support.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 12 per week
