Lead Teacher- Art

This is a one day per week Art teaching position on Mondays from 8:30-2:30pm. This is a program for homeschoolers, offering a day of academic classes to provide a sense of community and belonging for students. We are looking for a positive and dynamic teacher, who is comfortable working with grades K-8th. All curriculum and supplies are provided, and we offer one hour of paid prep time per week. This position would entail teaching 4 classes per day including helping to oversee recess and lunch. Class sizes are capped at 20 per class. We are looking for an art teacher and a history teacher.

Responsibilities:
- Teach lessons using provided curriculum
- Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive and engaging learning experience for students.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement early intervention strategies for students who may require additional support.
- Help to oversee recess and lunch activities

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in education.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and create a positive learning environment.
- Knowledge of homeschooling methods and practices.
