AS400 / Spire RPG Developer | 9+ years

We are looking for a Senior AS400 / Spire RPG Developer with deep technical expertise in RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQL/400, and Spire ERP systems. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in system analysis, development, customization, and support on IBM iSeries (AS/400) platforms. This role requires collaboration with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications on AS400 / IBM iSeries using RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQL/400, and APIs.
• Customize, enhance, and integrate Spire ERP modules to meet business needs.
• Perform system analysis, gather requirements, and design effective technical solutions.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and batch jobs for performance improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with business users, QA, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Participate in code reviews, system testing, and performance tuning.
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation.
• Follow secure coding standards and organizational best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 9+ years of hands-on experience in RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQL/400, and IBM iSeries (AS/400) development.
• Strong experience with Spire ERP applications — customization, maintenance, and integrations.
• Proficiency with DB2/400, data modeling, and stored procedures.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills in complex production environments.
• Proven experience in working directly with business users and cross-functional teams.
• Good understanding of system integrations, batch processing, and file handling.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior developers.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of API integrations, EDI, or Web Services on IBM i.
• Experience in legacy system modernization or module migration.
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹399,522.65 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
