ASPHALT LABOUR

Job Purpose

To assist in asphalt paving and road construction activities by supporting skilled operators and ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in asphalt laying, spreading, and leveling works
• Support asphalt paver, roller operators, and site crew during paving operations
• Perform raking, shoveling, and hand spreading of asphalt materials
• Clean and prepare work areas before and after paving activities
• Assist in compaction activities and edge finishing
• Load, unload, and move construction materials and tools
• Follow instructions from supervisors and engineers
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness of the work site
• Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues immediately
• Strictly follow HSE rules and road construction safety procedures
• Wear PPE at all times (helmet, gloves, safety shoes, reflective vest)
• Work safely around hot asphalt and heavy machinery
• Attend toolbox talks and safety briefings

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum1–3 years of experience in asphalt or road construction works (preferred)
• Experience in road, highway, or infrastructure projects is an advantage
• Physically fit and able to work in hot weather conditions

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Basic understanding of asphalt works and site safety
• Good stamina and manual handling capability
