Michael's Asphalt Paving is a small, locally owned paving company based in Atlanta. We run a tight crew and do solid work. We're hiring an experienced Asphalt Paver Operator.

This is a hands-on job. You run the paver, and you pitch in with the crew when the work calls for it.

What you'll do

• Operate the asphalt paver to lay mat to the right depth, grade, and slope
• Control speed, material flow, and screed settings for a consistent, smooth mat
• Work with the foreman, roller operators, and crew to keep production moving
• Run daily equipment checks and basic maintenance — grease, clean, minor adjustments
• Adjust to job conditions, weather, and site layout
• Help with handwork, shovel work, and jobsite cleanup as needed

What you need

• Solid understanding of mat thickness, grade, slope, and paving technique
• Valid driver's license
• Dependable, on time, and ready to work
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for long stretches, and climb in and out of equipment
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Able to work early mornings and long days; occasional weekends
