Asphalt Screed Operator

Granite City Paving is a family owned asphalt paving company located in the St. Cloud area that specializes in but is not limited too: residential driveways, parking lots, walking/bike paths, and asphalt patching.

We are now hiring Full-Time/Seasonal Screed operator with paving experience. Competitive wages based upon prior experience. Positions and responsibilities detailed below:

Paver/Screed Operator Responsibilities

• Must be able to operator paver and/or screed on paver.
• Make normal adjustments to get proposed depth, width and slope of asphalt mat.
• Assist in setup, loading/unloading, and maintenance of equipment required for daily operations.
• Inspect equipment for mechanical/safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Assist grading/paving crew with various duties such as; shoveling, raking, running wheelbarrow, and safely backing/dumping trucks into paver.
• Report defects, accidents or violations if they arise.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Current driver's license that meets state requirements; CDL Class A or Class B is preferred but not required
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and assist co-workers with other duties
• Ability to work long hours and occasional weekends as needed
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Experience

• Minimum 2 year experience as a screed operator or paver operator.
