Assembler and Precision Parts Cleaner

Work closely with R&D project team members to build, integrate, clean, and prepare complex electromechanical systems for aerospace and high-performance applications. This combined role includes assembling, testing, and troubleshooting precision electromechanical components as well as cleaning and deburring high-value mechanical parts used in prototype hardware for aerospace missions.

Assembly Responsibilities: The role requires assembling electromechanical components, sub-assemblies, cable harnesses, and systems by following engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions. It involves performing precision mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, and integration of electrical and mechanical parts. Additional responsibilities include conducting functional and performance testing to ensure compliance with aerospace and quality standards, troubleshooting and resolving assembly issues, collaborating with engineers and production teams to meet project timelines, documenting assembly and testing results, and adhering to strict safety and quality protocols when handling sensitive aerospace components.

Cleaning Responsibilities: The role requires cleaning and deburring delicate, precision-machined mechanical parts in preparation for assembly. This includes working under a microscope using miniature hand tools to remove burrs and ensure parts meet required standards. The cleaning work is often performed in a clean room environment, following strict contamination control requirements. Responsibilities also include following explicit written procedures, maintaining documentation, and keeping a clean, organized, and safe workspace.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or an associate degree in electromechanical technology, aerospace, or a related field is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong skills in mechanical assembly, wiring, and precision alignment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, thoroughness, and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow explicit written instructions and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work under a microscope using small hand tools.
