Assembly Shop Helper

Since 1917, Globe Machine has been a manufacturer of industrial machines, systems, and plants for advanced composites, building products, and pulp & paper.

The Assembly Shop Helper will assist personnel within Assembly with general expediting of materials and parts, cleaning, and assisting the department in assembly and loading duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Check in parts ensuring all received parts are properly accounted for and organized.
• Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within the Assembly department.
• Ensure Assembly area is clean in appearance including removing trash and sweeping as required.
• Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and manlifts required.
• Be available to work overtime when needed to ensure deadlines are met.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. strongly preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to read a tape measure required.
• Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts and manlifts required.
• Valid state driver's license in good standing is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment, proactively contributing ideas to improve operations required.
• Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, tactful, and self-directed when faced with tight deadlines and fluid environments required.
• Basic oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English required.
• Must possess a proven history of being reliable with excellent attendance.
• Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.
