Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Assembly Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a passion for precision engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and testing aerospace components according to technical specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform precision assembly of aerospace components using specialized tools and equipment
- Inspect and test assembled components to ensure they meet quality standards
- Follow technical drawings, blueprints, diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures and assembly instructions accurately
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues
- Operate production line machinery
- Utilize handheld tools such as a hand-held screw, drill gun, and air gun
- Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets engineering drawings
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
- Rework and/or repair assembled products per engineering specification changes
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Basic use of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparator
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in mechanical engineering or related field is a plus
- Proven experience in watchmaking and mechanical assembly, preferably in the aerospace industry
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracy
- Familiarity with technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

WORKING CONDITIONS AND TRAINING: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and gloves. Loose-fitting clothes and dangling jewelry are not permitted as detailed in safety requirements.
